Optical Spectroscopy

By using ultra-fast and optical spectroscopy we gain insight into the charge carrier dynamics of novel materials and nanosystems such as colloidal quantum dots, halide perovskite nanocrystals, carbon dots and hybrids functional aggregates. hybrid of various semiconductor nanomaterials (colloidal quantum dots and carbon dots). Our main experimental methods, sensitive to a time range from femto- to microseconds, include transient absorption, stimulated Raman, and time-resolved photoluminescence. Together with spatially resolved experiments a detailed understanding of the microscopic electronic and vibrational processes can be achieved. Additionally, we combine our existing methodologies with concepts from IR Spectroscopy and Interferometry.
