Eco-friendly Quantum Dots Receive a Clean Surface and Become Brighter

In our new study, we passivate non-toxic Ag-In-S based quantum dots with a Ga-S shell, effectively eliminating surface defects that previously diminished optical emission power. By comparing defect-dominated and defect-passivated systems, we have learned a lot about intrinsic optical properties and related carrier dynamics.
