Article by Hallermann et al. on charge transfer excitons most accessed

11.11.2009

The article by Hallermann et al. on charge transfer excitons in conjugated polymer/fullerene blends is the most accessed paper in October for the journal Advanced Functional Materials. The authors report on some of the fundamental loss processes in organic solar cells studied by optical spectroscopy and electron microscopy. The work is relevant for understanding how molecular conformations at the nanoscale can be tuned to create more efficient third generation solar cells.
